SDSU is a recognized leader in innovative efforts to improve urban K-12 education. Additionally, student, faculty and staff give of their personal time to improve the world around them.
Airlift to Haiti: SDSU's CIO, Rich Pickett, has been a licensed pilot for 32 years. After an earthquake devastated the island of Haiti, he volunteered his time to fly relief flights there. He shared his experiences in the SDSU Blog.
