by: Disbursement for summer session typically begins in July. Sign up for Direct Deposit and receive priority when disbursements are made. Choosing Direct Deposit means that your financial aid or scholarship refund (the amount after institutional charges are deducted) may be deposited directly into your personal checking or savings account at your bank. Information and application forms are available on the Student Financial Services Web site or in the office located in Student Services West, Room 2536. If you do not sign up for Direct Deposit, your funds will be mailed to you in the form of a check. San Diego State University will use your summer financial aid and/or scholarship funds to pay your summer registration fees before releasing any remaining funds to you. If you owe the university for any charges from a previous term, such as residence hall charges or a financial aid over-payment, disbursement of your summer financial aid will be placed on hold until you resolve the outstanding charges.
