Enhancing Campus Climate and Culture for Persons of Varying Abilities

Goal: Identify initiatives that enhance the campus climate and culture for persons of varying abilities

Divisional Reporting: Business and Financial Affairs

Working Group Progress Update:

  • Investments provide funds to support initiatives that enhance the campus climate and culture for persons of varying abilities. One of the first actions taken by the working group was to support the transfer of the Office of Employee Relations and Compliance cart to Student Disability Services. This collaboration expands faculty/staff and campus guests' access to cart services M-F, 7:45 am to 11:00 pm and on Saturdays, as needed. The working group also supported the implementation of the Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) Program Evaluation, a survey to gather information from stakeholders in the SDSU community about the current services for students with disabilities. The working group has also co-sponsored disability awareness and has made recommendations to address accessibility and access issues.
