The establishment of a unified European economic community, contested borders in central and eastern Europe, gender and immigration issues —if you have interest in these or other topics of international importance, European Studies is the major for you. You'll graduate with an understanding of the complexities of contemporary Europe—essential skills both for successful careers with an international focus, including international business, law, international relations, journalism, and cultural studies.
Program Highlights
Some of the key areas explored in our courses include: the establishment of a unified European community, the legacy of the communist past, contested borders, issues of national identity, gender, and migration. Classroom content and cultural understanding are enhanced through language learning, internships and study abroad experiences.
