About the Major
With seasoned faculty, hands-on student learning experiences and numerous finance-focused student organizations and clubs, a finance degree from the Fowler College of Business will prepare you for a diverse set of career opportunities. Finance students are trained for a variety of positions that allow them to develop into top executives. A significant number of the nation’s chief executive officers and other senior corporate officers have followed the “finance path” to the top.
Program Highlights
Finance majors study both the sources and the uses of capital. Students in this major are taught to understand the movements of the domestic and international financial markets (stock, bond, derivatives, markets), create short- and long-term financial plans, and how to advise individuals or companies on investment and financing strategies.
