About the Major

Build, design and thrive in our ABET-accredited mechanical engineering major. You'll gain hands-on experience in the design, building, and testing of tools and machines in our classes and labs.  Most of our students benefit from work experience through internships and find job placements before graduating. 

Program Highlights

Our curriculum covers the design and analysis of all kinds of systems and technologies with mechanical components, with applications in energy production, robotics, environmental systems, materials, composites, transportation, manufacturing, machine design, and many more areas. An emphasis in bioengineering is also available.
