About the Major

Understand the different experiences of women and other marginalized groups, from the local to global, in the women's studies major. You'll learn how we're working to create a society free from oppression and privilege based on gender and gender identity, race, ethnicity, class, sexual orientation, age, religion, nation, or disability.

Program Highlights

You'll explore academic disciplines from intersectional feminist perspectives and promote community engagement. Grounded in feminist pedagogy, we provide opportunities for active student learning through internships, study abroad programs, undergraduate research experiences, and service learning options.

Career Options

You'll complete either Women’s Studies 598 (internship) or satisfy an international experience requirement. Both experiences help our graduates prepare for entry to many different careers.
