About the Major
Our public health major will prepare you to develop, implement, and assess public health programs conducted in a variety of settings. Your learning will extend beyond the classroom through research projects and engagement with local and regional community service activities. Our program enjoys special collaborative arrangements with the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency, and other local, regional, and national health organizations.
Program Highlights
You’ll explore the disciplines of epidemiology, environmental health, occupational health, health services administration, and behavioral science. You will also get the opportunity to study abroad to increase awareness of cross-cultural issues, global health, economic, political, cultural, social services, and health challenges experienced by local populations in international environments.
