Shape SDSU’s 2025–26 accreditation review: join the campus open forums
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend March 25 open forums with members of the WASC Senior College and University Commission team.

San Diego State University is in the final stages of an important process: reaccreditation through the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
In preparation for the visit, more than 225 students, faculty, and staff shared feedback on the university’s draft self-study report. Read the final 2026 institutional report, which is posted on the university’s WSCUC reaccreditation site.
Meetings Scheduled
As part of the onsite review, the WSCUC team will first visit SDSU Imperial Valley locations on March 23. Following, the review team will visit the San Diego campus on March 25–27. Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to attend open forums with the team on March 25 from 3–4pm in the following locations:
- Student open forum: Templo Mayor
- Faculty open forum: NE-060
- Staff open forum: AH-2108
“Accreditation reflects who we are as an institution, including our shared commitment to excellence, impact, and continuous improvement,” said SDSU President Adela de la Torre. “The open forums are an important opportunity for members of our community to share their experiences and perspectives directly with the review team.”
Share Input with the WSCUC Team Directly
WSCUC understands that not everyone who may wish to participate can attend these meetings, and has therefore established a confidential email account to give everyone the opportunity to communicate with the team.
Students, faculty and staff who are unable to attend an open session are encouraged to share their perspectives directly with WSCUC via that confidential email account.
To write to the WSCUC team directly, you may email them at [email protected]. Of note:
- The email account is created for this visit only and will be closed once the WSCUC reviewers leave the campus.
- This option allows students, faculty and staff to provide feedback about their academic experiences and the quality of the educational environment.
- All messages are reviewed by WSCUC and contribute to the overall evaluation of the university.
- Importantly, this email account was created by a WSCUC staff member and only authorized WSCUC staff and team members have access to it. The emails are not viewed by any representative of SDSU.
- Only comments made before or during the visit will be considered as part of the review process.
- The WSCUC team is not able to meet individually with members of the campus community, so please do not use the email account to request private appointments.
