Fulbright

Learn more about the U.S. Student Fulbright Program and the SDSU Fulbright advisor. Opportunities are given to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching English in elementary and secondary schools worldwide.

Peace Corps

The Peace Corps is a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation.

CBYX Young Professionals Program

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) for Young Professionals is a fellowship funded by the German Bundestag and U.S. Department of State, that annually provides 75 American and 75 German young professionals, between the ages of 18½–24, the opportunity to spend one year in each other’s countries, studying, interning, and living with hosts on a cultural immersion program.

Teach Abroad

  •  NALCAP Language and Culture Assistants in Spain
    The program allows American college students and graduates - who are native-like speakers of English - to partner with elementary and secondary schools in Spain to bolster language programs, as language assistants (TAs) under the supervision and guidance of teachers in Spain.
  • JET Japan Exchange and Teaching Program
    JET has sent more than 70,000 participants from around the globe (including more than 35,800 Americans) to work in schools, boards of education, and government offices throughout Japan. With more than 55 countries around the world currently participating in JET, this program offers a unique cultural exchange opportunity to meet people from all around the world, living and working in Japan. 
  • NET Hong Kong Native-speaking English Teacher Scheme
    The Education Bureau conducts NET recruitment exercise annually to recruit qualified candidates for the selection and appointment by public-sector schools to enhance the teaching of English Language and increase exposure of students to English.
  • Tawain English Teaching Flagship Awards
    The English Teaching Flagship Award is given to those who are willing and are qualified to be English teachers in Taiwan. The Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE) is cooperating with MOE (Ministry of Education) in Taiwan in order to achieve the goal of becoming a bilingual country by 2030.
